Rice University 15kV Switchgear Replacement

A replacement of the existing 15kV switchgear building and switchgear that supplies electricity to approximately 80% of the campus, this project was completed in complex and carefully coordinated sequences to minimize disruption to campus workflow. Due to the risk involved with providing multiple buildings with electricity, constant communication and coordination with Rice University and the individual departments within the University was required while installing and tying in new utility campus infrastructure to the existing campus infrastructure. With strict adherence to our safety standards and proper implementation of our AB Lean methods, we were able to complete this project safely and with minimal interruption to campus activities.
